FROM THE SILENCE OF THE DOLOMITES

Extraordinary flower of music

Our company was born at the base of the Dolomites and takes the name of Edelweiss: the "Edelweiss" flower. It is a plant that is resistant to the seasons and consequently to the climate. This flower is a rare living being and it is not possible to pluck it due to its natural and protected value. Likewise, every single instrument produced by our craftsmen is given a unique and valuable connotation. Edelweiss® was born from these historical and cult places, which gave the foundations of this brand.

UNIQUENESS OF MUSICAL ART

Sound therapy

Edelweiss® was born with a single prerogative: sensitivity to artistic and musical passion. This union is crowned through the uniqueness of the instrument and its customization.

Designed for an audience of musicians of a certain importance, it is also available for those who want to fill beneficial needs through music therapy in the 432 Hz frequency (only on request).

TAILORED MUSICAL CRAFTSMANSHIP

A melodious
hidden warmth

Edelweiss® is a modest artisan reality. Every process is not left to chance, from the reception to listening to the needs of each musician: from customization to the choice of materials up to the design of the instrument. Finally, shipping is available anywhere in the world.

The manufacturer's previous knowledge of metallurgy, a blacksmith with forty years of experience, guarantees excellent foundations in innovative processes on metallic materials. Despite the cold starting source, steel manages to achieve a chromatic warmth and wonderful elegance.

Due to our focus on quality and the high demand for our tools, there is a waiting time for orders not in stock which will be communicated upon order confirmation.
Every single Edelweiss handpan is a unique piece of craftsmanship.
Creating these wonderful instruments requires a lot of attention, precision and time.

All of our handpans are handmade with heat treatment processes that we use during production. The color will never be the same.
This makes each instrument unique and gives it added value.
It is important to understand that this thermal process is not primarily done for the chromatic choice but rather to give the excellent result of the final sound.

The main causes of oxidation and discoloration of instruments are: the acidic sweat that may be present together with other contaminants of the hands and the lack of attention to the places where it is placed (for example areas of sea sand, excessively humid soil, water…).

Cleaning procedure we recommend:
Use a soft microfiber cloth. The softer it is, the better to avoid scratching the surface of the instrument.

Apply a small amount of 70-90% alcohol to the cloth and clean the surface of the instrument. Do not use other chemicals to avoid unexpected chemical reactions. Repeat this process as necessary until the surface of the instrument is nice and clean both top and bottom.

Now you can hydrate its surface using 5/10 drops of oil per side (example Phoenix) and distribute it with a new cloth. We recommend this process every time after a day of intense use.

When not in use, it is important not to keep it closed in its case for a long period of time to avoid any accumulation of humidity.

The most requested diameter of our handpans is 53 cm, the standard size.
We also have diameters of 50 and 56 cm available on customized requests, depending on the tallest or lowest stairs.
The height varies depending on the scale.
Weight varies from size.

We are really precise and meticulous about this process to make it long-lasting.
It is done in different production steps, each instrument has seasoning and installation times to ensure that the material blends together.
Various sound stability tests are carried out to guarantee its performance over time.
However, we recommend doing at least one tuning within the two years.
It will be a free service within the two-year warranty, however shipping costs will be borne by the customer

We work with Hardcase Technologies and recommend the Evatek case (must be ordered separately – not included in the price of the instrument).
It is the best way to protect your instruments during shipping and your travel.
